Timms, Klaassen and Werkmeister Heat Up for Wins on Heiman Fire Equipment Night at Huset’s Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (July 31, 2022) – Ryan Timms, Colby Klaassen and Koby Werkmeister produced impressive triumphs on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway, which hosted Heiman Fire Equipment Night.

Timms led the final nine laps of the 25-lap Casey’s 410 Sprint Cars presented by Big Frig main event for his third feature win of the season at the track – the most for any driver in the division this season.

The margin of victory was only 0.441 seconds over championship points leader Matt Juhl, who led the first 16 laps before finishing with a runner-up result. Kaleb Johnson placed third with Mark Dobmeier ending fourth and Austin McCarl fifth.

Justin Henderson set quick time during qualifying to kick off the action before Johnson, Dobmeier and Timms recorded heat race wins.

Klaassen garnered his second Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks triumph of the season, leading all 18 laps to win by 0.834 seconds.

Matt Steuerwald posted a second-place result with JJ Zebell finishing third, Cory Yeigh fourth and Shaun Taylor fifth.

The heat races were won by Zebell, Klaassen and Taylor.

Werkmeister put on an impressive performance to charge from 11th to score the trip into the Winner’s Circle during the 20-lap Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series A Main.

Jared Jansen passed Blaine Stengenga, who led the first dozen laps, on Lap 13 before Werkmeister took over the top spot on Lap 15. Jansen held off 12th-starting Jacob Hughes during the second-place effort. John Lambertz rallied from 15th to fourth and Lee Goos Jr. rounded out the top five.

Jansen, Stengenga and Tim Rustad were the heat race winners.

Huset’s Speedway will be dormant until Aug. 28 when the track hosts Royal River Casino Night featuring Casey’s 410 Sprint Cars presented by Big Frig, the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series and the Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks.
