Disciplinary Violation and Penalty Notice

Jamaica, VA – After much discussion and review of this weekend’s (August 31st) Collision One Limited Stock incident involving Wesley Givens and David Bowler during the division’s second feature, the following penalties have been handed down by speedway management.

Wesley Givens has been suspended from any further racing activities at Virginia Motor Speedway for the remainder of the season for actions detrimental to the safety of other competitors. Givens has also been stripped of all 2013 championship points. There has been no decision on his eligibility for the 2014 season.

Speedway management is committed to providing a safe, fair and enjoyable racing experience each weekend. Actions such as these will not be tolerated.
