Racinboys.com presents the Lucas Oil ASCS U.S. 36 Nationals
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (May 13, 2013) There are several ways the drivers of the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real can choose to maneuver the U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday, May 17 but the move of choice is the slide job.
At 90 feet wide, the turns of the U.S. 36 Raceway are a steep 21 degrees before falling to a mild 10 degrees of banking on the straight-a-ways, giving drivers the perfect surface to execute slide jobs.
A move used by Jason Johnson for the runner up spot on Wayne Johnson, and later on Seth Bergman for the lead, Jason’s sixth win of the 2012 season was an interesting one as Jason and second finishing Wayne Johnson nearly squared off in victory lane. Luckily cooler heads prevailed and the shower of Champagne soon followed.
With hopes that Mother Nature will finally allow a race, the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real will make their third ever appearance at the Cameron, Mo. oval this Friday for the U.S. 36 Nationals presented by Racinboys.com.
The exclusive online audio broadcast provider for the American Sprint Car Series, the 2013 event is the second year that company owner Scott Traylor has helped bring the Lucas Oil ASCS to the U.S. 36 Raceway. What will end up as the eighth stop on the 2013 national schedule, the U.S. 36 Nationals presented by Racinboys.com will be paired with the Speedway Motors Warrior Region for their third event of the year.
Jason Johnson currently leads the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real driver point standings in the Stenhouse Jr. No. 41 going into this Friday’s event with Johnny Herrera trailing by 43 markers. A win at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park on Friday, April 5 shot Brad Loyet to third in the standings with Seth Bergman and Tony Bruce, Jr. completing the top five.
On the regional side, 2000 Warrior Region Champion Brian Brown leads reigning Warrior Regional champion Jonathan Cornell by a slim seven point margin with Jay Russell, Wyatt Burks, and Tyler Blank in the top five.
Friday, May 17 will open at 4:00 P.M. (CT) with races slated for 8:00 P.M. Advance sale tickets are available by going to http://www.racinboys.com.
