Big Game Motorsports Drivers Dollansky and Swindell Rally at Rolling Wheels

Inside Line Promotions - ELBRIDGE, N.Y. (Oct. 14, 2013) - With setup trials in full bloom, the Big Game Motorsports teams had a solid day at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park last Saturday.

Craig Dollansky powered his Eyecon Trail Cameras car to a podium finish during the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event with Big Game Treestands teammate Sammy Swindell charging from the back to a 12th-place result after being crashed on the opening lap.

"To get a podium out of it considering some of the results we've had, it was a good run for this team," Dollansky said.

Swindell qualified 10th quickest and Dollansky 11th as both drivers made the heat race inversion, putting each of them on the pole for a heat race. The Big Game Motorsports drivers each won their heat to advance to the dash.

With Swindell starting eighth and Dollansky ninth in the dash, both pilots picked up a row for the feature by passing two cars. That started the Big Game Treestands car on the outside of the third row and the Eyecon Trail Cameras car on the inside of the fourth row for the 25-lap feature.

"Everything was going pretty good," Swindell said. "We're still trying some different things. We're trying to do a couple of different things at the end of the year to put us in a direction for next year."

However, while he battled for a top-five position entering turn one on the opening lap, Swindell was tagged from behind. The contact spun him around and brought out a caution, which relegated him to restarting at the back of the 24-car field.

"I got around (Daryn) Pittman and I went to go in on the bottom," he said. "As I moved down somebody just got on the rear bumper and turned me around. I was pretty fortunate that nobody ran into me. It ruined our day to have something definitely in the top five. It's just the way our year has been."

Dollansky quickly picked up a trio of positions and rallied for a third-place result with the Eyecon Trail Cameras car on the fast track. It marked his 20 th top-five finish of the season.

"It was pretty racy," he said. "It was one of the better tracks I've seen there, especially come feature time. We made some advancements on the bottom of the track, but were working the high side more in (turns) three and four. The top in (turns) three and four was a little trickier than in (turns) one and two."

Swindell rallied his Big Game Treestands car from the back and ended with a 12th-place result.

"We might have been a little better, but we got up in a battle with Steve Kinser and Jason Sides," he said. "It took me a few laps to get through there, but I got Jason at the end."

The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series season concludes Nov. 7-9 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for the 7th annual World Finals.

Dollansky is 58 points out of fourth place in the championship standings with Swindell 42 points behind Dollansky.
