Jones Charges to Victory at Lincoln Speedway

Lincoln, Illinois (August 23, 2024) - Parker Jones charged from his sixth starting position to take the victory, Friday, at Lincoln Speedway in the Bennett Memorial race. Jones extended his MARA point lead by taking the win with only three events left in ‘24.

Heat 1 action saw Jones win from last over the young Cale Coons. In Heat 2 Daltyn England took the victory over veteran Mario Clouser.

In the feature, England charged to the front in the opening lap from his eighth starting position only to drop out with mechanical issues coming to lead lap two. Tyler Roth inherited the lead and put on a spirited battle with Jones for the top spot. In the end, Jones was too much and was able to take the top spot for good. Roth then battled Clouser for the second position late into the race. The pair fought side by side to the finish with Clouser taking the position by a nose at the finish line. Coons followed in fourth and RJ Corson rounded out the top five.
