Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 6, 2021) Three leaders over 27 laps, and the Mickey Walker Classic presented by Terry Mattox Promotions was just that with the DSO Champ/305 Sprints as Danny Smith captured the night’s $1,222 winner’s check.

Red on the start of the A-Feature, things finally rolled to green with Casey Wills rolling to the point. Stalked by Noah Harris and Danny Smith, the pair looked to use a Lap 6 caution to get the run. Working topside, Harris trailed with Smith setting his focus on the No. 7f. Same order on the podium through Lap 10, Harris continued to work the cushion. Getting momentum built up, Harris rolled into the lead off the second turn on Lap 14.

Not content to run second, Wills pulled even for the lead a lap later, only to see caution lights on again for the spun No. 22 of Charlie Crumpton.

Back to Lap 13 on the restart, Noah Harris found breathing room as Danny Smith went to work on Wills for second. Middle groove through one and two, cushion in three and four on Lap 16, Smith moved to second in the Tire Pros No. 5$.

Closing fast on Noah Harris for the lead, Smith’s run stalled as they came to the final seven laps. Coming back to speed after a caution for Jase Randolph, who ended up in the wall after contact from Bailey Hughes, the No. 5$ worked middle groove to take the lead on Lap 22.

Caution working Lap 23, Smith took the green and rook off for his fifth overall win of the season. Challenged briefly by Johnny Kent, runner-up honors went to Noah Harris with Kent in third. Dean Drake, Jr. crossed fourth but failed to report to the scales. That moved Andrew Deal to fourth with Brett Wilson fifth.
