Johnson Wins "Freedom Tour" Opener at Lawton
Exclaiming “I parked it tonight for Bryan Clauson,” USAC Southwest Sprint Car Champion R.J. Johnson grabbed Wednesday night’s “Freedom Tour” opener at Lawton Spededway. He outdueled Andrew Deal for the victory, leading 21 of the final 22 laps to beat Deal, Josh Hodges, Shon Deskins and Anthony Nicholson, who led the first eight laps. Johnson finally took the lead from Deal on the 25th lap and sped to the win in the Bill Michaels Kodiak Products/Beal’s Auto Body Sherman/Ford.
