Rugged Radios becomes "Official 2-way Communications Provider" for Lucas Oil Speedway, MLRA
By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson announced on Tuesday that Rugged Radios has become the "Official 2-Way Communications Provider" for the speedway and for the Lucas Oil MLRA.
"We're pleased to welcome Rugged Radios and look forward to working with them," Robinson said. "The Rugged Radios product is top-of-the-line and a standard-setter in the communications industry and we're thrilled to agree with them on a three-year contract to utilize their equipment, exclusively."
Robinson added that Rugged Radios also will be presenting sponsor of the Lucas Oil MLRA Larry Phillips Memorial on Sept. 1.
"This a terrific partnership and we're so pleased to welcome Rugged Radios to our Lucas Oil Speedway family in a big way," Robinson said.

Lance Mitchell of Rugged Radios said he attended the inaugural Lucas Oil Off Road Shootout in Wheatland last summer, as a guest of Robinson and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Director Ritchie Lewis, and marveled at the racing complex and fan support.
"It's like Disneyland for Off Road racing," Mitchell said. "What an awesome facility it is and those are true race fans out there. I talked to my team when I got back home about how we needed to look at affiliating ourselves with Lucas Oil because it's only going to get bigger."

The Lucas Oil Speedway 2018 season begins April 7 with the Weekly Racing Series opener with the 2nd annual Off Road Shootout June 22-24. Meanwhile, the Lucas Oil MLRA opener is set for March 30-31 with the 7th annual Thaw Brawl at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois.
