Lucas Oil Speedway season concludes Saturday with Monster Truck Nationals
By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Fans get a final chance in 2018 to hear engines roar at Lucas Oil Speedway this Saturday night with 70,000 pounds of Monster Trucks power supplying the noise.
The Monster Truck Nationals "Night of Destruction" combines a powerhouse program of metal-crushing, fire-breathing trucks along with an early Halloween trick-or-treat celebration.

"This has become an annual tradition for us to conclude our season with the big-time show that the Monster Truck Nationals put on," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "It's a huge event that the entire family can come out and enjoy with the power, sounds and flames of the big trucks. It's unlike anything else we have at the speedway."
The high-performance trucks will put on a show of high-jumping, ground-pounding, car-crushing, axle-wrenching action in side-by-side drags and wheelie shootouts, then go completely insane with freestyle action.
Fans also are invited to see the trucks up close, take pictures and collect autographs at the pre-event Pit Party on the track. The show will feature seven famous Monster Trucks - Bigfoot, Overkill Evolution, Black Stallion, Storm Damage, Hurricane Force, Overbored and Miss Overbored.
Fans of all ages also are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costume to make it an even bigger night of fun. Bounce houses for kids will be set up on the midway with vendors handing out candy to the youngsters.
Additional parts of the show include Freestyle Insanity Moto-X with Keith Sayers FMX performing stunts; Lil Monster Trucks with kids 6-17 taking to the wheel and Sergeant Smash Monster Truck Ride with kids getting to buckle in to ride a real Monster Truck for just $10, during the Pit Party, intermission or after the show.
Also on the midway, Steven Lee's '41 International Rat Rod named "Big Nasty" will be displayed.
One of the most-popular and hottest-selling tickets of the year, fans can save $5 off gate admission by purchasing tickets in advance at participating O'Reilly Auto Parts locations or online.
