Leal and Morris Claim Opening Wins in USAC NOW600 Coastal Clash at Santa Maria
SANTA MARIA, Calif. (May 8, 2017) - Jimmy Leal and Dex Morris both claimed opening night wins in USAC NOW600 Coastal Clash competition at the Santa Maria Raceway on Saturday, May 6.
Jimmy Leal captured the 25 lap Non-Wing feature event out racing Bryce Earnes. Brody Fuson crossed in third. Ethan Evan finished the night in fourth with David Prickett fifth, and Mike Hagman rounding out the field.
Bryce Earnes captured the Heat Race win.
In the Restricted class it was Dex Morris, Jr out dueling Bryce Earnes in the 20 lap feature event.
Bryce Earnes won the lone heat race.
Next Up for the USAC NOW600 Coastal Clash is Saturday, June 3 at Ventura Raceway in Ventura, California featuring the Non-Wing and Restricted classes.
