19th Annual Dave Bradway Jr. Event a Huge Success
CHICO, CA (5-14-09) -Â Silver Dollar Speedway would like to extend a big Thank You to everyone involved with making the 19th Annual Dave Bradway Jr. so successful over the years. Many thanks to Rick and Kim Hirst who helped start this race and to Dave and Dianne Durica for helping to continue the Bradway tradition. We also need to recognize the fans that come out to support this ever-growing event. Too many sponsors to name help make this race an amazing payout for drivers. The drivers are also treated to special products donated by fans and companies alike. We are humbled at everyone's generosity.
Rod Tiner, along with friends and family, helped bring back the memory of "Junior" with his car detailed to look like the famed 1986 Tri-C Machine #3c sprint car. At the helm of this special car was Brad Sweet. Sweet gave the fans a thrill by leading almost every lap of the race. Jonathan Allard shadowed Sweet all race and made a pass that even "Junior" would have been proud of. Coming out of turn four Allard rode the high line and passed Sweet as they raced toward the checkered flag. It was the most dramatic finish of all 19 Bradway Jr. events. Congratulations are in order for Allard who won an impressive $6700 for the one night of racing.
Next year will mark the 20th Annual Dave Bradway Jr. We are currently working on ideas to make it the best event possible. Once again, we here at Silver Dollar Speedway want to thank the fans, drivers and all of the sponsors who have helped make this a special race.
