CHICO, CA (5-8-10) - Heather Bartlett returned to a familiar spot at Silver Dollar Speedway, victory lane. Bartlett is the defending champion of the street stock division and for the first time in 2010 she won a Feather Falls Casino/Riebes Auto Parts championship point main event. Phil Marino won last weeks main event and started tonight as the leader of the 16 car main event. A yellow came out on lap one when Scott Rogers, Nathan Mayo and Joe Longmire all stopped on the raceway. On the ensuing restart, Bartlett was the new leader. She then went on to lead the final 19 laps for the exciting win. Bartlett got the win after starting in the third spot. There has always been something special about Bartlett and the Silver Dollar Speedway. Bartlett lapped the field up to the fifth spot after the 20-laps of racing.Chasing her all night was Michael Shearer. This newcomer provided a great challenge to Bartlett for most of the night. Shearer came from the ninth starting position. A nice charge to the front for this driver who turned a lot of heads and hopefully will be back during the next point show. Fourth place starting Scott Rogers finished in the third spot. After winning the 2008 track championship, Rogers took off most of the 2009 season. He has been a nice addition to the speedway after the first two point shows. Hopefully the Ford powered #88 can make all of the point shows. Appliance Resale #53 driver Mike Slightom was fourth. Slightom continues to improve each season and looked good in coming home with a top five finish. Another strong drive from Richard Workman. Workman started in the 10th position and moved his way into a fifth place finish.

Chico's Phil Marino won the first heat by leading all eight laps. Mike Shepard ran a strong race to finish second. Redding's Scott Rogers didn't have as easy as of time as Marino. He started in the second row and he did not get the lead until lap five. Nathan Mayo finished in the second spot.

The next appearance by the street stock division will be on May 29th Saturday night of the Silver Dollar Fair. The fair race is always a big attraction for this division.
