Four Divisions Set for Battle this Friday Night

CHICO, CA (4-26-11) - The Wells Fargo point championship races at Silver Dollar Speedway continues this Friday night, April 29, with a diverse four division evening of racing. The 410 sprints, street stocks, wingless sprints and dwarf cars will converge at the speedway for an exciting night of dirt track racing.

Enterprise Rent a Car will present the nights racing along with JP's Paint and Body Works. There are two Chico locations for Enterprise Rent a Car. One place is located at 2267 Esplanade and the other one is at 2500 Zanella Way Unit C-Skyway. Enterprise Rent a Car also has a location in Oroville and Red Bluff.

John Perry has been a local ambassador to Silver Dollar Speedway for numerous years. His shop is located at 1840 Park Ave just about a mile away from the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds. JP is going to also help sponsor other nights this year and help provide the meat needed to have the fan barbeque Saturday afternoon of the Gold Cup.

Pit gate will open at 4 pm. Front grandstand gate opens at 6 pm. Sprint car qualifying is slated to start at 6:30 pm with a full gauntlet of racing for all divisions to follow.

Adult general admission into the spectator side of the main grandstand is $12.00 while junior and seniors is $10.00. Children prices are $6.00.

Sean Becker continues to lead the 410 sprint car standings with 136 points. He holds an eight point advantage over Robbie Whitchurch and a nine point advantage over Andy Forsberg. Tyler Wolf is holding down the fourth spot while Robert Stice rounds out the top five with 112 points. Princeton's Mason Moore will return to try and pick up his first main event win of the year. This year Moore has teamed up with Harley Van Dyke Motorsports #5h. Moore does have plans to head up North this year and race with the ASCS Regional Series. Others possibly expected to race include Jonathan Allard, Kyle Hirst, Roger Crockett and Tim Kaeding.

The wingless sprints will return this Friday night led by defending series champion Terry Schank Jr. On his heels are Capay's Taylor Simas and Orland's BJ Martin. Only three points separate the top three. Brett Youngman and Braedon Enos are only two points apart for fourth and fifth place.

Phil Marino is starting to flex his muscle and take control of the Street Stock point's battle. Marino has won the last two main events and holds a 12-point lead over Kevin Lesch. Mike Slightom sits in third and is already 20-points behind Marino. Richard Workman is currently fourth while Kevin Ward is registered in the fifth spot.

This Friday will mark the first appearance of the year for the traveling Dwarf Car series. The always entertaining dwarf cars will also be featuring cars from the BAD series as well. They have a well detailed website at www.dwarfworld.com for more information about their series. Kevin Bender is coming off the clubs most recent win at Placerville Speedway. After our race the Dwarf Cars head up to beautiful Quincy and the American Valley Speedway.
