Traditional Riebes Auto Parts Night this Friday
CHICO, CA (6-26-12) -Â It has been a long tradition of having Riebes Auto Parts involved with the Silver Dollar Speedway. This year is no different as representatives of the Chico, Oroville and Paradise Riebes Auto Parts will be on hand to give out discount coupons and numerous give-a-ways for our racing fans who attend this Friday nights races.
Front gate opens at 6pm. Sprint car qualifying will start around 7pm with racing to follow. General adult admission is $12.00, seniors and juniors $10.00 and children $6.00. Kids 6 and under are free.
Six divisions of race cars will be on hand including the Joe Hunt Wingless Sprints, 360 winged sprint cars, street stocks, dirt modifieds, hobby stocks and vintage hardtops. In between the races Riebes Auto Parts will be throwing out heir traditional goodies including Jelly Belly's and other fun items.
Santa Rosa's Terry Schank Jr. leads the charge of the Joe Hunt Wingless cars. The two-time Silver Dollar Speedway track champion has won two of the last three races at Chico. Other top competitors include Cody Smith of Biggs, Scott Hall of Rio Linda and Taylor Simas of Capay.
Auburn's Andy Forsberg and Princeton's Mason Moore will lead the charge of winged 360 drivers expected to attend. Orland's Jake Vantol and Chico's Shawn Smith will continue their championship battle this Friday night. Mike Slightom will go for two in a row in the Street Stock division.
Randy McDaniel and Ryan McDaniel will continue their family assault on the dirt modified division. Oreste Gonella and Jeff Olschowka will try and break into victory lane. The hobby stocks will bring their usual flare to the speedway.
Riebes Auto Parts is also the only place to buy July 4th race tickets for the Speedway. On Wednesday, July 4th, we will host four divisions with a gigantic fireworks show to follow the races. All four local Riebes Auto Parts are selling advance tickets; both Chico locations, Oroville and Paradise.
