Little League Night at the Silver Dollar Speedway

CHICO, CA (5-6-13) - Calling all little league players. This Friday night, May 10, it's time to drop your gloves and head over to the Silver Dollar Speedway for some fast cars and great entertainment. On behalf of the speedway, we want to offer any Chico area little league or Chico softball little league players the chance to come to the races for free. The only thing you need to do is wear your uniforms to the races and get free admission to the grandstands.

Front grandstand gate opens at 6 p.m. this Friday night. Racing is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Adult general admission is $13.00. Seniors and juniors are $11.00. Kinds wearing their little league baseball or softball uniforms get in Free. For more information about this promotion please contact the track office at 530-350-7275.

Five racing divisions will be on hand to entertain the crowd. Defending sprint car track champion Sean Becker is once again at the top of the winged sprint car 410 points battle. He leads Willie Croft by 12 points. Joining the winged sprint cars will be dirt modifieds, Perma-Zyme wingless sprints, Limited Late Models and the winged economy sprints. Focus Midgets are on the schedule as an exhibition race.

Karen Bumgarner continues to help the American Cancer Foundation with her annual Life Touch Relay for Life fund raiser at the speedway. This Friday night, fans will have the chance to purchase a raffle ticket for $5.00. Later that night, one lucky fan will have his or her name pulled from all the other tickets collected. Once that name is drawn, we will announce the name and that race fan will win a 42" Vizio Smart LED TV. "Karen continues to impress us with her dedication and hard work associated with the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life," said Promoter Dennis Gage. All proceeds from the raffle tonight will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

This race will mark the final time in May for a regular Wells Fargo Friday night point race. The next scheduled point race will take place June 7th.

The next upcoming events at the Silver Dollar Speedway will take place during the Fair. The following events will take place inside the main grandstands starting with the Motorscross on Friday, May 24th, Enduro on Saturday, Hoosier Tire Civil War Sprints on Sunday and Demolition Derby on Monday.
