Andy Forsberg Leads HotCoats Powder Coating Series
CHICO, CA (5-7-13) -Â Auburn's Andy Forsberg leads the HotCoats Powder Coating Series after his win during the 25-lap sprint car main event on April 26th. The HotCoats Powder Coating Series was developed by Chris and Annette Garten as an extra incentive for the local 410 sprint cars. The HotCoats Powder Coating Series consists of three races, April 26th, June 28th, and August 16th. These dates are also noted on our website at www.silverdollarspeedway.com
Points are awarded exactly the same as the championship points for those individual nights of racing. The track points are awarded this way; 40 points to win the main event then deduct one point for the descending finishers. Five points are awarded to win the heat race and turn the fastest lap in qualifying. Just as with the main event, points descend by one point for each finish until the top five are accounted for. A team/driver is also awarded five points for showing up.
With this point structure in place Andy Forsberg gained 51 points during the designated first HotCoats Powder Coating event on April 26th. Roseville's Sean Becker is second in points with 48. Sacramento's Willie Croft sits in the third spot with 46 points. Local favorite Michael Tarter earned 44 points. Chico's Kevin Sharrah and Mason Moore sit tied in the fifth spot with 40 points each.
The winner of the three race series will receive a $250 gift certificate to HotCoats Powder Coating, located at 13308 Cabin Hollow Court #100 in Chico. However, Chris and Annette have worked hard on presenting a one of a kind trophy to the winner also. "We have a lot of hours put into this unique trophy," said Chris Garten. "I think the overall winner will appreciate this trophy just as much as the gift certificate."

The next HotCoats Powder Coating Series event will take place June 28th, point race #10.
