Speedway to Host Easter Egg Hunt for Kids
CHICO, CA (4-22-14) -Â This Friday night, April 25th, point race #5 is slated to run with five divisions. The night is presented by Hoosier Racing Tire. Friday night's line up will feature the 410 winged sprint cars, street stocks, winged economy sprints, hobby stocks and limited late models. Big car counts are expected in all divisions.
Pit gate will open at 4 PM while the front grandstand gate will open at 6 PM. Adult general admission into the main grandstand is $13.00, juniors and seniors are $11.00. Children are just $6.00 and kids five and under are free.
Keith Bloom Jr. is fresh off his win at the Bill Brownell Memorial this past Friday night. It was the first win of his career and capped off a memorial night for the Wolf family. RC Smith scored a career best second place finish while running a 360 motor. Bud Kaeding ran the Williams Motorsports up to a third place finish. Chico's Jonathan Allard has hinted that he and his Tri C Motorsports team is attending this Friday night race. Auburn's Richard Brace Jr and Roseville's Colby Copeland are drivers telling us they will be racing this Friday night.
Ryan McDaniel beat an impressive Limited Late Model field last Friday night. McDaniel continues to showcase his talents at the track that he has so many accolades. The Limited Late Models continue to gain cars and build up a division that seems to be the hot thing.
Steve Hammett was on a rail this past Friday night. He is returning this Friday night in hopes of picking up his second win a row. Brian Compton, Kyle Allen and David Pierce are all fierce competitors looking to score a victory. Jesse Skidmore comes into this Friday night as the point leader.
Brandon Powell used a lap car to his advantage last Friday night to win the winged economy main event with a last lap pass. Numerous drivers started the first point race of the year. Ron Wyman and Scott Gannett share the point lead with Powell.
It has been a month since the last street stock race. Mitch Machado earned the win. Chris Warner and Phil Marino were on his bumper the whole race. A total of ten drivers started the first point race.
