Early Bird Registration Begins for Enduro and Destruction Derby

CHICO, CA (4-27-14) - With the Silver Dollar Fair right around the corner the staff at Silver Dollar Speedway is encouraging drivers participating in the 200-lap Enduro race on Saturday night, May 24th, and/or the Destruction Derby on Monday afternoon, May 26th, to get their registration forms mailed into the office as soon as possible to save money. The Silver Dollar Fair begins May 22nd and runs through May 26th. Motorsports events will be the highlight of the fair. On Friday night the Speedway will host a motocross event featuring well over 100 riders. Saturday is the 200-lap Enduro. Sunday night is the granddaddy of the weekend, the Civil War sprint cars. On Monday the fair concludes with the 2nd annual destruction derby. For more information about the fair please visit www.silverdollarfair.org.

Early bird registration for the Enduro competitors is until May 16th. If entries are received on or before May 16th then there is no entry fee. If entries are received from May 17th to May 23rd it will cost $75.00. On race day a $100.00 registration fee will be enforced. "It just makes too much sense to register early," said promoter Dennis Gage. "By offering this much of a discount it will hopefully encourage these drivers to send us their registration early and we can get an idea of how many cars we will get."

The race will use West Coast Enduro Rules, found at www.westcoastenduro.org or Silver Dollar Speedway Hobby Stock Rules. Drivers' meeting is at 5:15 pm sharp and is followed by an on track transponder check for each car. At 5:45 pm the best appearing car contest will take place on the front straight. Winner of the event is determined by crowd noise. The world famous Out House Race is scheduled for 6 pm. The 200-lap Enduro race is slated to start at 6:15 pm.

The Silver Dollar Fair All New Destruction Derby will begin at 2 pm on Monday May 26th. If a participant enters before May 20th then the registration fee will be waived. Any entries received after May 21st will be charged $75.00 per car. This year there will be two divisions of cars, full size or compact.
