Sacramento's Brian Compton Wins 3rd Enduro in Four Years
CHICO, CA (5-23-15) -Â The Annual 200 Lap Fair Enduro is always a fan favorite, and once again it did not disappoint. In the end it was Sacramento, CA wheelman Brian Compton who picked up the Victory. Compton Led nearly the entire race and had only one scare during the race when he looped the car around in turn one. Compton secured victory by one Lap over the #114 of Rich Denman from Colinga, CA. With the #06 of Dan Smith rounding out the podium in third, finishing just 187 laps.
The Best Appearing Car Contest was a fun, fan interaction based competition for the drivers to take part in. In the end, the crowd voted Magalia, CA driver Shannon Collins' car the winner. Collins took home that trophy. Collins finished 7th in the 200 Lap Enduro after losing the entire right rear wheel during the race and leaving it sitting on the front straightaway.
Scott Longmire was Victorious in the spectacle we call, The Outhouse Race. Two drivers compete head to head around the track for a lap. They then jump out of the cars and run into an outhouse and grab three pieces of toilet paper. They then return to their cars and do another lap. The first driver to complete that lap, jump out and show the official the Toilet Paper wins. It was a lot of fun to watch and the fans enjoyed the show immensely. Longmire pocketed a cool $100 cash for the win. He would go on to finish 4th in the Enduro.
