CHICO, CA (6-17-15) - Silver Dollar Speedway is pleased to host Enterprise Car Rental and JPs Paint and Body Works event this Friday night June 19th. Five racing divisions will be on hand led by the 410 winged sprints, street stocks, economy winged sprint cars, wingless sprints and limited late models. Fridays event is point race #9 during the Chuck Patterson Championship Season.

This Friday night, June 19, the pit gate for the competitors will open at 4 PM. The front gate for the fans will open at 6 PM. Racing is slated to start at 7 PM. Adult general admission is $13.00, juniors and seniors are $11.00, kids $6.00 and under five are free.

Chicos Jonathan Allard is on a role. After struggling the first few months while racing in California, the Chico native went back to the drawing board. With hard work and determination Allard has changed some key ingredients in fine tuning the Lamar owned #3c. First off I have great support from the Lamars and without them allowing me to tinker away on the car all of this wouldnt be possible, said Allard.

For the past few weeks Allard has worked down at the team headquarters shop, located in Sacramento, and completely changed how his sprint car is put together. I have made some adjustments on our cars just to make me feel more comfortable in the seat, said Allard. This sport is all built on trust. I have to trust the car; the car owners have to trust me in believing I know what I am doing and that I know how to drive a sprint car. I have to trust my crew and the equipment we run. The list goes on and on and on. Just last week Allard spent over 60 hours commuting and working in Sacramento. It must have paid off because Allard was untouchable this past Friday night. He won his 58th career feature event at Chico. In fact, he has won three of the last five sprint car races held at Chico. We have been on a good streak and hopefully it continues, said Allard.

While Allard has made strides, 4-time Silver Dollar Speedway track champion Sean Becker is still the man to beat. Becker holds a six-point lead over Allard going into this Friday night. Keith Bloom, Andy Forsberg and Rowdy McClenon are all within the top five of points.

The top four in the wingless point battle are all within eight championship points of one another. Terry Schank Jr. leads the charge with two wins and a one point edge over Tony Richards. Richards is the other lone driver to get a main event victory.

Brandon Powell will continue his march towards a championship in the winged economy division. Powell has two wins and leads Dusty Barton by five points.

Ryan McDaniel is perfect at Chico. In limited late model starts, McDaniel has won every race he has entered. He has won all five heat races and main events. Can he keep his streak alive this Friday night?

Clinton Earl is the new street stock point leader. Earl leads Eddie Hammett by a mere one point advantage. Veteran driver Gary Newman sits in third and only nine points away from Earl.
