CHICO, CA (6-8-16) - Chuck Patterson Ram point championship racing continues this Friday night, June 10th, at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. A diverse line-up featuring six divisions ranging from winged 410 sprint cars to midget lites are scheduled. A large car count is expected for point race #8.

Friday night general admission is $14.00 for adults, $12.00 for seniors and juniors. Children ages 6 - 11 are $6.00 while kids five and under are free. Pit gate opens at 4 PM with the front gate opening at 6 PM. Winged sprint car qualifying is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

This Friday marks the final appearance of the 410 winged sprint cars until Monday night, July 4th. Sean Becker picked up the previous Friday night main event win and now leads Andy Forsberg by a comfortable 14 points. Jonathan Allard poses a big threat to win again and is currently third in points. Mason Moore and rookie 410 driver Seth Nunes round out the top five.

The IMCA Sport Mods have been a hit with the fans. Solid car counts and close racing continue to add value to the show. Todd Cooper leads his brother Brian Cooper by six points. Jerry Bartlett ended up in victory lane the last time this division raced and holds down the third spot.

Chris Warner holds an eight point edge over Shawn Smith in the battle for the street stock championship. Phil Marino is locked into the third spot. All three drivers are still looking for their first win in Chico this year. Fourth place Phillip Shelby won the opening race and is currently fourth in points. Brent Lawrence is holding down the fifth spot.

Ryan McDaniel is currently two for two when it comes to winning limited late model main events. With the two wins he now holds an eight point edge over Ray Trimble and Ken Micheli. David Larabee is a former champion and sits in fourth.

Brian Compton is fresh off another 200-lap Enduro win at Chico and has won the two previous hobby stock main events. His lead is 10-points over Brad Ray. James West and Cameron Hammett are tied with 87 points. Todd Hemman holds down the fifth spot.

Twenty-one different drivers have earned points this year in the BCRA Midget Lites division. Veteran Craig Dillard leads the point standings coming into Chico. Second place in point is Kyle Offill who won the most recent race at Placerville Speedway on April 23rd.
