Back at it This Friday Night with a 360 Bonus

CHICO, CA (7-5-16) - After a successful Monday night July 4th celebration at the races, we are primed to do it all over again this Friday night, July 8th. With help from Cherry St. Mini Storage we are pleased to present point race #11 featuring five divisions. Withrows Motorsports is also adding a $300 incentive for a 360 sprint car bonus. The highest finishing 360 in the main event on this night will receive an extra $200 and the second highest finishing 360 will receive $100.

Friday night general admission is $14.00 for adults, $12.00 for seniors and juniors. Children ages 6 - 11 are $6.00 while kids five and under are free. Pit gate opens at 4 PM with the front gate opening at 6 PM. Winged sprint car qualifying is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

Sean Becker leads the 410 winged sprint cars into action this Friday night. Becker is fresh off his popular win on Monday night and is the current point leader. Andy Forsberg is 18 points back and is going to have to start getting wins if he wants to catch Becker. Teenage sensations Michael Ing and Kalib Henry are stars on the rise that all fans should get to know.

Wingless sprints have seen resurgence in car counts for 2016. Yet, a familiar face sits atop the standings once again. Terry Schank Jr. holds a commanding 33 point edge over Angelique Bell. Schank has won four of the six point races thus far. While Schank is the dominate car, second through fifth in the points are only separated by six points.

Wyatt Brown leads the Economy Sprints into Chico for the fourth time this season. This division has a close point battle as Mike Ficklin is only four points behind Brown. Both Brown and Ficklin each have one win this year. Chris Story is the other driver to get a main event victory. Mike Sayre sits in the third spot.

Brian Compton will look to win his fifth consecutive Hobby Stock main event this Friday night. Compton holds a 22-point edge over rookie sensation Cameron Hammett. The Hobby Stocks competed on July 4th and had a respectable 13 cars race in the main event.

Ryan McDaniel has been the face of Limited Late Model racing at Chico. His two wins have propelled him into the point lead once again. Ken Micheli is only nine points back after three races. George Magenheimer sits in the third spot. Matt Micheli is the only driver to beat McDaniel and we hope to see him back this Friday night.
