CHICO, CA (4-20-17) - After lots of challenging work and a never give up attitude we are pleased to announce that Championship Point Auto Racing at Silver Dollar Speedway will take place this Friday night, April 21st. Recent wet weather had left the race track, infield and pits in a real mess. Yet, mother nature has cooperated and brought sunshine with wind that helps aid with the drying of the pits and infield area. "This will be our first race in April," said promoter Dennis Gage. "We didn't want to lose another race and I am pleased with what we got accomplished in such a short window of time. It's not going to look the prettiest but we are going racing."

Five divisions are scheduled this Friday night. 410-winged sprint cars, economy sprints, Earl's Plumbing Hobby Stocks, wingless sprints and street stocks. All five divisions will earn championship points.

Pit gate will open at 4 PM. We encourage teams to not enter the pit area until 4 PM to allow as much time for tractors to work in the pits and permit more dry time.

Weather is forecasted to be near perfect for this Friday night show. We are excited to host numerous fans and families in need for some dirt track racing.

The front gate will open at 6 PM. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM. Friday night April 21th, the adult general admission ticket will cost $14.00. On this night seniors and juniors are $12.00 with children just $6.00. Kids five and under are FREE.

To avoid standing in long lines the Speedway now has an on-line purchase tickets option located at www.silverdollarspeedway.com .

The AKB will be in the house and bringing a live singer with them. Oil Recycling Rocks will be on hand with racing enthusiast David Vodden.
