Best Deal in Auto Racing This Friday Night

Chico, CA (July 10, 2018) …. The best race track in California is once again offering the best fan friendly deal in all of motorsports. This Friday night, admission into the grandstands is just ONE DOLLAR. Last year, a record number of fans took advantage of this ridiculous deal. This Friday night is presented by Riebes Auto Parts. Fans will get the chance to win tons of cool prizes courtesy of Riebes Auto Parts.
Once again Cherry St. Mini Storage will sponsor the 25-lap winged 360 sprint car main event. Friday night’s winner will receive a $500 bump in their winning paycheck. The race will now pay $2,000 to win. This will be the final Cherry St. Mini Storage race of the season and we at the Speedway couldn’t be more thankful to Mike and Carol for their continued generosity and support of Silver Dollar Speedway.
The pit gate will open at 4 PM while the front grandstands will open at 6 PM. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM. The grandstand admission for this Friday nights race, July 13th, is just one dollar for all ages that comes through the front gate.
The winged 360 sprint car championship battle changed dramatically after the Wednesday night July 4th race. Point leader Andy Forsberg missed the event. This allowed Mason Moore and Kalib Henry to pass Forsberg. Moore and Henry will lead the talented field of sprint car stars into this Friday nights race. Forsberg will return and mathematically still have a chance to catch Moore and Henry.
Also returning is the “Shark� Sean Becker. It has been a roller coaster of a season for Becker. For the first time in his Hall of Fame career, the Shark has not yet won a race in Chico this season. Will his long absence from victory lane end this Friday night?
The IMCA Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks and Street Stocks are also scheduled. The IMCA Sport Mods have continue to produce excellent quality car counts this season. Grass Valley’s Andrew Peckham and Yuba City’s Brian Cooper are at the top of the standings.
Jeremy Langenderfer has a strong hold on the Earl’s Plumbing Hobby Stock point lead. Corey Hall continues to dominate the Street Stock division.
The on-track racing has been some of the best we have seen in many seasons at Silver Dollar Speedway. The entertainment factor, track conditions and Free Parking for fans are a few of the many things that make this Friday night tradition a success. This Friday’s $1 admission is unheard in our sport and should make for a great evening to bring the entire family out for a cheap but entertaining live event.
