Oswego Speedway Announces New Ticket Process Beginning Saturday, July 6

OSWEGO, NY (July 5, 2019) - Fans coming to the Oswego Speedway for tomorrow night’s Holiday Inn Express & Suites Independence Weekend Grand Prix will notice a change in the track’s ticketing system.

Beginning July 6, all general admission or reserved grandstand tickets purchased at either the ticket window or box office on Nolan Swift Memorial Drive will have a barcode in order to ‘scan’ fans in and out of the trace track.

Upon entering the facility, patrons must have their tickets scanned at the main entrance. Those who choose to leave the track will have their ticket scanned again upon exiting, and once more upon re-entering the facility.

A new system is in the works that will eventually allow all Oswego Speedway season ticket holders to be scanned in and out of the race track as well. Please stay tuned to OswegoSpeedway.com for further updates on this matter.

Tickets for the Independence Weekend ‘Grand Prix,’ set to include extra distance features for the Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS and 350 Supermodifieds, are $25 for GA or $30 for reserved seating. VIP packages are also on sale for $75.

To purchase tickets for the event, also scheduled to include a driver autograph session plus fireworks at the conclusion of the program, you may still call the track box office at (315)-342-0646.

About Oswego Speedway: Oswego Speedway is a 5/8 mile semi-banked pavement racing oval located off the shores of Lake Ontario in scenic Oswego, NY. The speedway has been a continuously run weekly racing venue since August 1951. The premier open-wheel pavement short track cars in the world, Supermodifieds, run weekly at the Oswego Speedway making it the only weekly Supermodified racing venue in the world. The Small Block Supermodifieds and 350 Supermodifieds accompany the full blown Supers on a weekly Saturday night schedule which runs from May through September. Oswego Speedway is mentioned in racing circles as the “Indy of the East,” as no fewer than a dozen past and present competitors have competed at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway including Mario Andretti, two-time Indy 500 champion Gordon Johncock, and former International Classic Champions Bentley Warren, Joe Gosek, and Davey Hamilton.
