Blurton Aiming to Continue Consistency at Eagle Raceway This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – QUINTER, Kan. (April 18, 2018) – Though the weather has limited him to just one race so far in 2018, Zach Blurton is excited to show what his new car can do as he plans to return to action this Saturday at Eagle Raceway.

“The only race we’ve gotten in I was very encouraged with how the new car handled,” he said. “We went to a practice a few weeks ago and I left the car loose the first time out and the track was a little wet and it was great. Before we went back out I told my dad to put the 94 tire on to tighten the car up as the track had dried out some and he said it was already on. I knew right then we have a great car. It acts just like our old reliable chassis.”

Blurton is hoping for similar success this weekend at the bullring in Eagle, Neb., which hosts the Ice Breaker Challenge. He was a consistent top-five competitor at the high-banked oval last year.

“That’s why I can’t wait to get back there and show what this new chassis can do,” he said. “I’m also excited that we will be switching to Speedway Motors’s Pro Shocks in the coming weeks. We’ve done exceptionally well with our old oil shocks, but it’s time to step up to the latest technology.”

Blurton said he will also have big news to announce next week.

“I can’t let the cat out of the bag just yet, but I’m really excited about what we are planning and the opportunity I will get,” he said.

Blurton plans to chase five titles in 2018, including the International Motor Contest Association national championship, the United Rebel Sprint Series championship, the Colorado Alliance Tour title and the Colorado and Kansas state IMCA championships.
