NDC SHIFTS TO BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS; CLAUSON-HINES SEPARATION 75 WITH 5 TO GO
Bryan Clauson is five races away from locking down his third consecutive USAC National Drivers Championship.
The Noblesville, Ind. driver has a huge 75-point lead over Tracy Hines entering the final events, which include this weekend’s “Budweiser Oval Nationals” Sprint races at Perris, Calif., the November 9-10 National Midget races at Peoria, Ariz. and the season-ending November 22 “Turkey Night Grand Prix” Midget race at Perris.
Only one “top-10” change was effected during last weekend’s races at Canyon Raceway Park in Peoria, Ariz. Robert Ballou passed Chase Stockon to take over the number 10 ranking after his second-place finish in Saturday night’s “Arizona Hall of Fame” Sprint race.
