Friday Night Brings Autism Awareness Night To Lernerville

Week two finds the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models making their first visit of the season on Friday night, bringing their distinctive roar back to The Action Track. Defending champion Russ King will be looking to go back to back in 2017, and to do that, he'll need to keep six-time champion Alex Ferree as well as potential first-time champion Micheal Norris behind him throughout the course of the Fab Four Fueled By Turner's Premium Iced Tea regular season. Round one kicks off on Friday night and will find those three drivers, battling it out in one of the most stout weekly late model fields in the area.

In the Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprints last week, Logan Wagner paid a visit and left with a win, besting an impressive 32 car field while Ohio invader Caleb Helms and former track champion Carl Bowser rounded out the podium.  This week, look for Bowser to make another appearance, and perhaps some test and tune time for a few true outlaws looking to get seat time for Tony Stewart's All Star Circuit of Champions event on May 5.

Mat Williamson collected his 20th career victory at Lernerville last Friday night in the Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds. But almost as impressive was Brian Swartzlander who looks to keep working his way to the 100 career win mark himself. Swartzlander moved forward with authority in week one and will be looking to do so again this week as will 2014 champion Rex King Jr. Veteran pilot Rick Regalski took home an impressive top five and combined with some other promising early season results looks to be a dark horse contender in the early going.

Corey McPherson picked up right where he left off in 2016 and looked every bit as dominant as he did in 2016 in taking the opening night honors. The defending and four-time champion will be hard to keep out of victory lane, however Joey Zambotti, Tyler Dietz and the rest of the deepest stock field in the area look ready to challenge for the title in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks.

This Friday is Autism Awareness Night and all fans are encouraged to wear blue and we will have speakers from a local Autism group on hand to increase awareness and will be taking donations for the cause. Plus, all pit passes will have a special puzzle piece on them, more on that Friday night!

Pits will be open at 4 PM, grandstands at 5 PM and racing starts at 7:30 on Friday night!
