Sides Tackling Jacksonville, Eldora and Lernerville This Week

Inside Line Promotions – DODGE CITY, Kan. (Sept. 24, 2019) – Three different tracks highlight the upcoming World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series schedule for Jason Sides.

It begins on Wednesday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., which is an elbows-up bullring. The actions shifts to Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday for the BeFour the Crowns Showdown and the week concludes on Saturday at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., for the Commonwealth Clash.

“We’ll go from a bullring to bigger tracks, but we do that all the time,” he said. “Maybe because we grew up on some of that smaller stuff we’ve had success on those tracks, but now I’d rather stick with the bigger tracks. In the years past because this is later in the year we’ve had some pretty good runs in the September race at Eldora. Maybe the weather plays a factor there and the track doesn’t get as slick as it does in July.”

Sides earned his career-best finish at Jacksonville Speedway in 2014 when he placed eighth. He has won at Eldora Speedway and has been a contender at Lernerville Speedway.

Sides is coming off a doubleheader at Dodge City Raceway Park last weekend. He posted similar results each night with a 16th-place run on Friday and a 15th-place finish on Saturday.

“They had good weather and it was a good track, but it stayed wetter than we’d like the first night and didn’t get wide,” he said. “It’s all about qualifying. We went out later than most on both nights and that hurts you a little bit, but there were some guys that went out later than us that did well. Maybe we’ve lost a little there.”
