Virtual Awards Presentation set for Saturday Night

Sarver, PA (March 15, 2021) Under normal circumstances, the middle of March signals the upcoming Lernerville Speedway season slate of events which would typically start off with the annual awards banquet.  But with the global pandemic to work around, it has been anything but a normal year for everyone.  With Covid-19 still a major health concern, the ownership and management team made the hard decision to cancel the 2020 season awards banquet in the format in which it normally exists.

However, the decision was also made that it was important to recognize and honor our Fab4 division champions and special awards winners before the season on the track commences.  Therefore, on Saturday, March 20 we will host our Virtual Awards Presentation at the Tables on the Green at Brackenridge Golf Course in Natrona Heights, PA.   The awards presentation will be shown live on the Lernerville Speedway facebook page and possibly free on our broadcasting platform at Lernerville.TV. More details will be forthcoming about viewing details so stay tuned to our social media channels. The program is currently scheduled to begin the live broadcast at 7:00 pm.

The 2020 Fab4 division champions and Rookie of the Year award winner have all been invited to attend on Saturday night to receive their awards and say a few words to their fans and sponsors watching at home.  All special award winners will be honored via the broadcast and will have their awards delivered at a later time.  The annual Lernerville Speedway Hall of Fame induction will take place during the season.  For the sake of Covid-19 compliance, the Virtual Awards Presentation will be closed to the general public and will utilize socially distanced seating for those who have been invited.

Our  annual Clearview Mall Car Show which ran from March 11-13 was a tremendous success and included over 30 entries as drivers mingled with fans and those curious to see a beautiful looking race car up close.  Peoples Natural Gas Sprint car newcomer Chase Metheney, Precise Racing Products Late Model driver Collin Lee Burke and Diehl Automotive Big Block Modified driver Chris Rudolph were on hand for interviews where they discussed their racing programs and plans for the upcoming season on our facebook page which are still available for viewing.

Following the Virtual Awards Presentation, we move the action to the track as the first of two scheduled Test and Tune sessions takes place on Friday, April 2. The Test and Tune will be open to cars from all divisions in the area as they partake in rotating hot lap sessions. Grandstand admission will be free of charge.
