Title Contenders Eying First Lernerville Speedway Championships
Sarver, PA (August 12, 2021) For both the Peoples Natural Gas Sprints and the Precise Racing Products Late Models, there are a couple of new faces in prime position to claim their first Lernerville Speedway Championships in 2021.

In the Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars, Brandon Matus took advantage of some bad luck that struck, then point leader A.J. Flick, last week to take over the point lead heading into this weeks Fab4 Revved up with Marburger Farm Dairy action. Flick, who experienced issues in his heat race on August 6, was unable to compete for the remainder of the night which opened the door for Matus to have a big point night. Matus made the most of the opportunity given to him with a solid seventh place finish that put him atop the championship point standings by a mere eight points. Matus, in search of his first Lernerville championship, will look to hold that point lead as Flick, a four-time champion, will try to rebound.
Colton Flinner took home his first Lernerville win since July 19, 2019, last week and added to his point lead as he is also in search of his first title at ˜The Action Track. Jared Miley, the 2012 Lernerville Speedway Precise Racing Products Late Model champion, is second in points and had his hopes of gaining ground on Flinner dashed when Flinner passed him for the win last week. With last weeks win, Flinner now owns an 18-point lead on the 2012 champ and comes into this week with all the momentum after his win.
The closest championship chase is in the Diehl Automotive Big Black Modifieds as Jeremiah Shingledecker owns a five-point lead over Garrett Krummert. Shingledecker is in pursuit of his third track championship while Krummert is looking to go back-to-back as he is the defending Lernerville champion. However, Rex King, Jr., Dave Murdick, and Rex King, Sr. are also hot on the trails of the two leaders and the top-five drivers are all within 26-points of each other. With only a handful of Fab4 points events remaining on the schedule, the Diehl Modifieds points championship is still very much up in the air.
Corey McPherson leads the Millerstown-Pic-A-Part Penn/Ohio Pro Stocks points and after capturing his 50th career Lernerville win last week, looks to be hard to beat as the season heads into its final stretch. While in search of his seventh title, McPherson heads into this weeks program with a 43-point lead over Joey Zambotti. Not only is McPherson eying that seventh championship, but he is also gunning for win number 53 to surpass Joe Kelly who is the divisions all-time win leader with 52 wins.
In addition to the multiple Fab4 championship campaigns on the track, we will have Go-Karts and Micro Sprints on display for fans to check out in the main concourse. Pit gates for this Fridays Fab4 Revved Up with Marburger Farm Dairy weekly show open at 4:00 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps are slated to begin at 6:50 and racing to begin at 7:30 p.m.
