World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series Returns to Lernerville Speedway for ˜Commonwealth Clash!

Sarver, PA (September 22, 2021) This Saturday the stars and cars of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series makes their triumphant return the ˜The Action Track for the $10,000 to-win ˜Commonwealth Clash that has become a staple on the Lernerville schedule since 2010.
Leading the Outlaws into Lernerville is their point leader as well as the 2021 Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XXX champion, Brad Sweet of Grass Valley, CA. David Gravel of Watertown, CT sits second in Outlaws points, 156 points behind Sweet heading into the weekend. Lenmore, Californias Carson Macedo is third ahead of 10-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz of Fargo, ND, and Sheldon Haudenschild out of Wooster, OH.
The Outlaws are coming off a six-race west coast swing with events in the states of Washington and California. Hanover, PAs Logan Schuchart took two victories with Sweet, Macedo, and Gravel also capturing wins out west. Meanwhile, Schatz, who owns nine wins at Lernerville, is trying to make the Sarver, PA oval his eighth track with 10+ World of Outlaws wins.
The local contingent that are looking to defend their home turf include the newly crowned 2021 Peoples Natural Gas Sprint champion, A.J. Flick and Sye Lynch, who led the first 11 laps of Julys, World of Outlaws sanctioned, Silver Cup XXX. Others expected to be in action are Lernerville regulars like Brandon and Brent Matus, Carl Bowser, Darin Gallagher, Jack Sodeman, Jr., and Michael Bauer as well as a plethora of other local and regional racers all gunning for that $10,000 top prize.
Joining the Outlaws will be the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 sprints. Greg Dobrosky took home the win at the ˜Sprint Spectacular back in August when the tour last visited Lernerville. With only four races remaining on the schedule, Steve Cousins leads the tours point standings by only four points over Jarrett Rosencrance. Sitting third in the standings is Jacob Gomola in third followed by Tommy Jansen and Logan McCandless in fourth and fifth respectively.
Pit gates for the ˜Commonwealth Cup will open at 4:00 p.m. Saturday with grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps are slated to begin at 6:30 and racing set to kick off at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, October 1, Lernerville Speedway will hold a Test & Tune in preparation for the Steel City Stampede scheduled for October 14-16.
