BOSS Sprints Headline Four Division Program Friday Night
Sarver, PA (June 27, 2023) A different kind of Fab4 graces the clay at The Action Track on Friday night as the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S) takes center stage with their thrilling brand of Non-Wing Sprint Car racing featuring skilled drivers from all over the Midwest and beyond. Those invaders will be taking on the best Sprint Car drivers from around the area who are skilled with the wing off as well as a few drivers from the Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars who have claimed a few victories over the invaders through the years. The BOSS Sprints will be joined by the Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds who will be resuming their regular season following two weeks off due to rain on June 16 and the 17th annual Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel on June 23. Also, making their first Lernerville appearances of 2023 will be the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds and the RUSH Sprint Cars as they get seat time and gather notes for their upcoming RUSH Summer Showcase in July.
Coming in to Friday night, all eyes will be on Indiana wheelman Issac Chapple who will be attempting to win his third consecutive BOSS feature event at Lernerville, his previous wins coming in 2021 and 2022. Chapple will have company though as California native and series points leader Ricky Lewis, plus front runners Korbyn Hayslett and Cody Gardner will look to put a stop to the streak as well as the always tough duo of Brian and Chad Ruhlman.
By the look of the Diehl Automotive Big Block Modified points standings, a potential battle to the finish is brewing as former track champions Garrett Krummert and Rex King Jr. are separated by just one point through six race nights this season. 2022 champion Jeremiah Shingledecker lies 22 points back coming into Friday night with eight-time champion Brian Swartzlander still within striking distance, 28 markers behind the leader. Through six weeks, there have been six different winners in the division thus far, including all four of the aforementioned drivers plus one win apiece for invaders Mat Williamson and Erick Rudolph who made visits in the month of May.
Also with us on Friday night will be the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Sportsman Modifieds and RUSH Sprint Cars. In 2022, Krummert took two out of the four feature victories in the division with young hot shoe Ayden Cipriano and Ben Easler taking the other feature wins. Cipriano currently holds the points lead heading into racing on Friday night. In the RUSH Sprint Cars, Arnie Kent, Andy Priest, Gale Ruth Sr. and Chad Ruhlman were all feature winners at The Action Track last season and Ruhlman currently stands atop the series point standings. Both divisions have historically brought solid car counts and very close racing to the track over the years and will be poised to continue that trend on Friday night.
Pit gates will open at 4 PM on Friday night with grandstands opening at 5 PM and racing scheduled to start at 7:30 PM. General admission is $18 while children ages 10 and under are admitted free as always. Pit passes will be available for $30. The entire night of racing will be streamed live on our subscription based platform, The Dirt.tv Network. For just $24.99 per month, you can watch every lap live from The Action Track on The Dirt.tv Network plus all the contents of our archive including not only racing at Lernerville, but other events such as area amateur boxing, motocross, rodeo, as well as demolition derbies from around the area and racing at other area speedways.
