#1 Cochran Fan Appreciation Night with Fireworks on tap this Friday
Sarver, PA (June 5, 2024) There will be fireworks in the sky and Fab4 Racing Revved UP with Marburger Farm Dairy on the track on Friday night as the annual #1 Cochran Automotive Fan Appreciation Night takes center stage. The middle portion of the 2024 weekly racing season takes off full steam ahead on Friday as the Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars, Precise Racing Products Late Models, Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds and the Millerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stocks all look for an edge to help them in the run to the season championships in August.
With four completed race nights in the books thus far, the battles at the top of the Fab4 divisions couldn't be much tighter with regards to the Late Models, Big Block Modifieds and Pro Stocks. The Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars were technically not involved in a competitive points night last Friday night as the Jean Lynch Classic took center stage as part of the annual Western PA Sprint Speedweek. Current points leader AJ Flick chased down the nine cars ahead of him at the start of the 30 lap, $4,000-to-win feature, including a surprise race leader and Quebec Sprint standout Jordan Poirier with just five laps remaining to claim his third straight Speedweek win at Lernerville. Michael Norris kept his momentum rolling forward last Friday night in Precise Racing Products Late Model action as he took his third win of the season, showing plenty of speed in the process as the days until the annual Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel count down. Despite Norris's dominance in the win column, he finds himself just four points ahead of Colton Flinner in the standings heading into Friday night.
Rex King Jr. pulled himself to a tie with Garrett Krummert atop the Diehl Automotive Big Block Modified standings after taking his first feature win of the season last Friday night as the two drivers look to take their battle all the way to Championship Night to decide. And in Millerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stock action, Christian Schneider supplied his second win of the season, holding off a furious late race charge from defending champion Tyler Dietz to take the win and the points lead coming into Friday night.
Thus far, the racing has been amazing and the car counts solid to start off the 2024 season, both trends will look to continue Friday night as we enjoy a night of fantastic racing and fireworks, courtesy of #1 Cochran Automotive.
