Firecracker Fest presented by Big River Steel Begins!
Sarver, PA (June 17, 2024) The time has arrived! Five days of entertainment and racing kickoff Tuesday night as the inaugural Firecracker Fest presented by Big River Steel takes center stage! There's literally something for everyone to enjoy for an entire five days at The Action Track!
The expanded format of the newly rebranded Firecracker Fest will give event campers and community members even more to see and do before the racing starts on Thursday, June 20. And, not only will there be more entertainment at night, there will also be opportunities for fans to enjoy more activities during the daytime in 2024 courtesy of Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market in historic downtown Saxonburg.
Firecracker Fest kicks off Tuesday, June 18 with country singer/songwriter Drew Baldridge in concert at 7:00 PM. The Patoka, Illinois native will be bringing his hits to the Firecracker crowd for all to enjoy. Also playing live that night will be Wyatt Turner, set to perform right before Drew Baldridge takes the stage.
The dust really starts to kick up on Wednesday, June 19, with SEBRA Extreme Bull Riding presented by Puryear Cattle Company. An action-packed event with professional bull riding and barrel racing starts at 6:00 PM and will be followed by a live DJ to close out the night.
Also new for 2024, kids and adults of all ages can enjoy daily activities including bocce, horseshoes, yard golf, cornhole, disc golf, giant bowling, all kinds of food and drink and more during Firecracker Days at nearby Sprankle Woods, as well as tours of downtown Saxonburg including a stop at Spankle’s Neighborhood Market to stock up on all of your camping needs! Shuttles will be departing to and from Lernerville from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM June 18-22.
Last, but certainly not least, there's the racing as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series do battle for three straight nights in the $50,000-to-win 18th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel and the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Models will once again throwdown in the $20,000-to-win Bill Emig Memorial, plus the full array of fan friendly and driver interactive activities Firecracker fans have come to expect and enjoy year after year! After the racing, don't forge to stop by the main stage and enjoy the upbeat tunes from the 80's and 90's performed by The S'Wearing Hats on Thursday and Wyatt Turner returns to play a full show following the racing on Friday night.
In addition to traditional ticketing options, fans can enjoy all five nights of action, (the concert, the rodeo and all three nights of racing) for just $109! Expanding the nearly weeklong event, our friends from the Dirt Racing Experience will be on site on Wednesday, June 19, providing ride along and driving experiences. Tickets for Drew Baldridge in concert ($25) and SEBRA Bull Riding and Barrel Racing ($15) will be available at the gate on their respective performance nights.
