Hanks Excited for ASCS Red River Doubleheader at Wichita and Superbowl

Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (July 5, 2017) – Brandon Hanks is venturing to Texas this weekend for an ASCS Red River Region doubleheader.

Hanks, who is the defending ASCS Red River Region champion, will compete on Friday at Wichita Speedway in Iowa Park and on Saturday at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville. It will mark his season debut at both tracks.

Hanks enters the weekend riding a four-race top-10 streak, which was started by his first career top five in a 410ci winged sprint car.

“I feel relaxed coming off a vacation,” he joked. “Riding the momentum we have right now I think we can do better than just top 10s. The downside of it is not being in the car back-to-back weeks. You have to get back in a rhythm of things. However, we’ve gotten a lot faster and been more consistent during the summer.”

Hanks scored a fifth-place result at Superbowl Speedway last season and he produced a 12th-place result at Wichita Speedway during his lone visit in 2015.

“I’m excited to race with the ASCS Red River Region again,” he said. “I enjoyed racing with the series last season when we won our first championship and it’ll be fun to race with those guys this weekend.”
