Dover earns Midwest opener

Bryan Hulbert - GREENWOOD, Neb. (April 5, 2013) Starting up seemingly where he left on in 2012, defending Speedway Motors Midwest Regional Champion Jack Dover used slower traffic to take the Midwest season opener worth $2,500 at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.

Earning the seventh starting position in the night’s 25 lap feature, Dover raced into the lead on Lap 21 when race long leader Tyler Drueke slid just far enough out of the groove, in traffic, to allow Dover the pass exiting turn four.

Dover was followed across the line by Tyler Drueke with Wade Nygaard, Kyle Saduder, and Jake Martens completing the top five. After winning the night’s B-Feature, Danny Lasoski clawed from fifteenth to sixth in the Burch Motorsports No. 1m with Lucas Wolfe, Stu Snyder, Don Droud, Jr., and Jason Martin making up the top ten.

A $300 bonus was also awarded to third finishing Wade Nygaard in a random draw sponsored by ESI.

The Speedway Motors Midwest Region continues at the I-80 Speedway on Saturday, April 6.
