Cottage Grove, Oregon- For Kage Kart drivers in Oregon the upcoming season is going to be wonderful. Both the Cottage Grove Speedway and Willamette Speedway in Lebanon have constructed non-conflicting schedules. It will no doubt grow the Kart counts for years to come and will produce countless crops of new drivers for both tracks big car programs.

“Karts are a very important part of the future of racing not just at Willamette or Cottage Grove but everywhere,” commented Jimmy Schram, co-owner of Willamette Speedway, “for people wanting to get their kid involved in racing at a young age this is a great avenue to go through.”

For drivers in the Open Kage classification that finish sixth or better in the final point standings at either venue will be entered into a drawing to win a unique prize at the championship banquet. At stake is a chance to win a brand new 2013 QRC Open rolling chassis with a Pro package included bringing the total value to over $4,200.00 in equipment.

This was all made possible by a concerted effort by the fine folks at Schram Brothers Excavating, QRC Karts, Scofield’s Karts and Parts, Willamette Speedway, and Cottage Grove Speedway. And to add in the mix if a driver is sixth or better in points at both tracks they get two entries put into the pot.

I’m really looking forward to the summer Kart season.”
