Lebanon, Oregon- In hopes to keep the sport growing the Willamette Speedway is adding a class for the remainder of the 2014 season. The class will be called the 125/250cc division. Willamette is offering this class to get kids racing that may not meet the age requirements for the 250cc class.

The age requirements for this new division is eight to thirteen years old. Weight is 350 pounds and Karts must run a Hoosier or Burris 50 or 55 on the right rear tire. Karts with a 250cc engine that meet the age requirements can run but NO OVERBORING OR STROKERS ALLOWED. Age requirements for the other classes are 125cc (eight), 250cc (ten), and Open Kage (fourteen). All exceptions must be approved by promoter.

Unfortunately this class will not offer a giveaway Hoosier tire due to sponsor restrictions, but is still eligible for prize money and awards. Also due to the addition so late in the season there will be no season ending point awards for this division.

Also we would like inform all Adult Speedway Kart and Micro Sprint teams that due to the lack of car count if there are less than five entries in each respected class there will be no payout but your entry fee will be lowered to $30.00 for Kart and Driver and regardless of car count the regular amount of laps will be given including two heats and a main. If five or more entries do show up the regular structured payout will be honored. We hope to see everyone this Friday July 18th for race six of 2014.
