Lebanon, Oregon- IMCA Modified fans of Willamette Speedway will be in for a real treat this Saturday May 2nd. Making the long trip all the way from Medford will be Monte Bischoff. Bischoff will be in the area due to his daughter's participating in a horse show in Albany. With a brand new race car and just one event under his belt Monte will look to put the Payroll Specialties/Hoppes Construction/Lucas Oil Products #F1 High Side Race Cars by Kyle Strickler entry in the winner's circle.

“Last weekend was my first race of the season (at Siskiyou Motor Speedway in Yreka, California),” commented Bischoff, “I'm glad we went because everything that could go wrong, did.”

Not only is Bischoff adjusting to a new car but also a new engine. Monte now utilizes a crate engine which has taken some time to adjust to versus his open motor. But rest assured he is very fast at Willamette winning four victories at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval over the past two seasons including three wins in 2013.

“I'm very excited to get back to Willamette it's one of my favorite race tracks next to Cottage Grove.”

Other classes in competition will be the Super Dirt Late Models, Sportsman, and Street Stocks. Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
