Rob Lindsey Scores WSS Win #3 At Willamette

Lebanon, Oregon- The Wingless Sprint Series would make the trip to Willamette Speedway on Saturday, August 6th. It would be the one and only time the tour would make the journey to the 1/3-mile clay oval. A total of fifteen cars would be in attendance.
It would be Rob Lindsey’s night once it was time for the main event. The Sherwood chauffeur, starting fourth, wasted no time getting to the lead. He would feel a bit of pressure by Eugene’s Kyle Miller in lapped traffic but unfortunately, Miller would get up into the fence ending his night early. After the Lindsey checked out and dominated the rest of the distance to win his third race of the 2016 season.
Hillsboro native Theo McCarty placed second followed by Tim Alberding, out of Salem, in third. Eagle Creek youngster Lindsay Barney was fourth while finishing fifth would be Jake Gilman, from Forest Grove.
Rob Lindsey was fast time of the night as well as the evening’s trophy dash winner. Heat races were won by Kyle Miller and Tim Alberding.
The Wingless Sprint Series will take a few weeks off before they return to action. They’ll be on tap for the Open Wheel Spectacular at Madras Speedway on August 20th. Stay tuned to wingless.nwextremeseries.com for more information.
