Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway hosted the second and final night of the 2018 Clair Cup on Saturday, May 26th. Over one-hundred cars would fill the pit area with six classes on the itinerary. Divisions in action included the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, IMCA Sport Mods, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.

Casey Vitale would win his first race of the season in the Super Late Models and record his second career Clair Cup triumph. Corbett’s Collen Winebarger swept the weekend in IMCA Modified competition and accumulated his fourth win of the current campaign at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval. B.J. Donofrio would also double up in the win column for the weekend as he made it two-for-two in the Super Sports.

Jorddon Braaten, of Central Point, recorded his second IMCA Sport Mod victory of 2018 at Willamette. Tom Yeack, from Crawfordsville, got the job done in the Sportsman while his son Kyle, who resides in Lebanon, won his second Street Stock feature of the season.

Willamette Speedway returns to racing on Friday, June 1st, and Saturday, the 2nd. Friday will be the first Fast Friday of the season and features a special $5.00 admission while Saturday is the historic Strawberry Cup. Classes racing on Friday include the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, and IMCA Stock Cars while Saturday features Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and IMCA Stock Cars.
