GLSS-Great Lakes Super Sprints
SILVER BULLET RAINED OUT
Sprint cars were ready to roll, the track was in great condition, the parking areas and pits were mowed, we just needed to get past a little overnight rain so we could have our Inaugural Great Lakes Super Sprints race. But once again, it was not meant to be.
A big thank you to Silver Bullet Speedway owners Nick and Matt Hoonhout. The excitement of having winged sprint cars at the Bullet again was high. The efforts to prepare the track and the facility was second to none. There is no doubt the track would have been fast and there would have been exciting racing tonight. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t co-operate and we can’t fight Mother Nature!!!
At this time, there has been no date re-scheduled. Great Lakes Super Sprints will be traveling to Ohio for Memorial Day weekend to support the NRA Sprint Invaders on a 3 day weekend at Limaland, Waynesfield and Eldora.
Our next 3 races will be co-sanctioned with Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Series, starting on June 1st at Plymouth Speedway, June 3rd at Hartford Speedway and closing out the weekend on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway.
Our next GLSS solo race will be at Mount Pleasant Speedway on Friday, June 17th and followed by a Saturday, June 18th race at the newly re-opened Thunderbird Speedway.
