Elma, WA -
On a beautiful spring night in the Harbor you would have thought was the middle of Summer TJ Hartman won the 360 Limited Sprints in the Kippi and Axel Walker Missle Motorsports entry and was jointed in victory lane by Austin Kerrigan in the Super Stocks, Brayden Brookshire in the IMCA Sportmod, and Peyton Harding in the Hornets.
TJ Hartman led all 25 laps in the 360 Limited Sprints. He was challenged by Xan Miller early on then a great battle between Miller and Chris Foster in the middle stages ended on lap 13 when Kenny Rutz spun and when Miller slowed Foster ran over her left rear and went for a tumble (driver was okay). On a late restart Miller lost grip coming out of 4 and Kiera Zylstra was able to move into second. Rounding out the top 5 was Miller, Alex Olsen, and Eric McClain. Quick Time of the night was Xan Miller, and the heat race went to Chris Foster.
In the Super Stocks Austin Kerrigan led every lap but that didn’t mean it wasn’t an exciting main event. Kerrigan took off to the early lead while Larry Palladin moved into second then in turn 3 the one SportMod Brayden Brookshire was able to move into second and Matt White was able to move into third followed by Palladin in 4th and this went into lap traffic where Brookshire peeked in to the lead for just a second but Kerrigan was able to hold him off. Then after a caution for Jayson Wolcott Kerrigan was able to hold off Brookshire for the win, followed by Palladin, White, and Scott Fritts. Brayden Bookshire was announced as our IMCA Sportmod winner. Heat race wins went to Austin Kerrigan and Larry Paladin.
In the Hornets Landon Pruett led early and your 3rd place car Cory Sweatman brought out the caution on lap 3. On the restart there would be contact with Pruett and Max Sanford after Morgan got into Sanford which would take out the top 2 cars and give the lead to Steve Morgan. On the restart the action would get really hot as Hatton would briefly take the lead on the outside of Morgan but then got loose and Morgan would regain after contact with multiple cars and then the caution came out for a slowing Brandon Tyler. On the restart Morgan and then Payton Hardiing would battle with Harding finally finding a way around Morgan and to her first victory at Grays Harbor Raceway! Heat races went to Sundstrom, Sweatman, and Morgan
