Malvern Bank Super Late Models Return on Friday at Lakeside Speedway!

(Kansas City, Kansas) This Friday marks the return of the Malvern Bank Super Late Models (SLMR) for their second ‘Racing on the River’s Edge’ Lakeside Speedway appearance this season for Budweiser race night. In addition, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, and E-Mods will compete for NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series points.
During the Malvern Bank Super Late Models’ last appearance in late April, it was Norfolk, Nebraska’s Tad Pospisil who took the win over Josh Leonard and local favorite Aaron Marrant. All total, Pospisil now sits tied atop those standings with seven-time series champion Kyle Berck. Pospisil owns two series championships.
So far this year in SLMR West Championship events, Pospisil owns four victories while Berck has three. Bill Leighton, Todd Cooney, Jesse Sobbing, Andrew Kosiski, and Chad Holladay have one victory apiece. Previous SLMR wins at Lakeside Speedway have went to Ryan Gustin 2014, Justin Zeitner 2014, Jesse Sobbing 2017, Kyle Berck 2018, Cory Dumpert 2020, and Pospisil earlier this year. Note, mention of driver’s name does not guarantee race appearance.
Current B-Mod co-point leaders Luke Nieman and Mark Schafman lead the weekly racers into this Friday’s action along with fellow leaders Kacey Shields (Stock Cars), Marshall Jewett (Pure Stocks), and Trevor Hand (E-Mods).
On Friday, Pits Open 5PM, Grandstands Open 6PM, Driver Pill Draw Closes 6:45PM, Pit Meeting 7PM, Hot Laps 7:15PM and Racing begins at 7:45PM (or immediately following hot laps). Ticketing and admission information follows: General Admission: Adults (16+) $20, Seniors/Military $15, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 FREE. Suites: Adults (13+) $30, Kids (2-12) $10, Under 2 FREE. Terrace: Adults (16+) $20, Seniors/Military $15, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 FREE. For Suite and Terrace availability call (913) 299-9206. Pit Passes: 7 and Older $35, Under 7 years $15. Minors 17 and under must have signed Minor Release to enter the pits.

Once on the website, in the top left area of the page next to the Lakeside Speedway logo, click on “Upcoming Live” and from there select the event from the menu that appears and follow the payment prompts and questions. The fee is $19.99.
