Dover Primed for World of Outlaws Race Saturday at Lakeside Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Oct. 11, 2023) – Jack Dover is joining the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this Saturday at Lakeside Speedway.

Dover will drive for Rick and Chris Bowers during the Micro-Lite Harvest Rumble at the dirt oval in Kansas City, Kan.

“I want to make the show,” Dover said. “When we were there earlier in the year with Tim (Estenson) we made the High Limit Sprint Car Series show. Doing the 410 stuff with Tim this year, I’ve learned a lot as far as setup stuff goes. I’m shooting for a top 15.”

Dover has been victorious at the track, winning an ASCS regional race in August 2012. He placed second during an ASCS National Tour show at Lakeside Speedway earlier this season.

“We’ve done well there in the 360,” he said. “The 410 is a whole different animal, but going there knowing we’ve won and done well is a confidence booster. It’s 410 racing and you’re racing against the best in the country, but I have confidence.”

The key will be laying down a good qualifying lap, Dover noted.

“Your qualifying laps are your whole night,” he said. “If we can go out there and be in the top 12 that’ll set us up well. If we can run in the top five in the heat race and lock ourselves in the A Main then we’d shoot for our next goal, which would be a top-15 finish.”
