Brady Bacon – Drilling in Tulsa!
(Bill W) January 11, 2016 – Brady Bacon brought home his third Golden Driller from the Tulsa Shootout at the Tulsa Expo Center January 2. He was victorious in the Winged Outlaw micro class aboard Kelly and Terry Hinck’s #21H. He competed in four classes, qualifying for three main events. This Thursday, the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma driver will be attempting to win another Golden Driller when he qualifies for this week’s Chili Bowl.
After finishing second in his heat and first in his qualifier, he started up front in the Winged Outlaw micro class. “We were able to start on the pole and lead all 55 laps,” says Brady. “It was a long race in a micro. We were challenged one time before I moved to the top. We were able to keep a safe distance from there.”
With hundreds of cars competing, coming home with a Golden Driller is no easy task, even for a veteran of the event. “Kelly and Terry Hinck gave me some great equipment in their #21H and I’d like to thank them,” says Brady. “Everything has to be in order at the Tulsa Shootout. You have to have everything together and they did.”
Brady ran well in other competition as well. “We were able to make three of the features,” he says. “We finished sixth in the stock non-wing. We had some motor problems and couldn’t start the stock wing race.”
He will be driving Frank Manafort’s midget wrenched by Brad Noffsinger for the first time at the Chili Bowl. “We’re qualifying Thursday,” says Brady. “We have a brand new car that was built for the Chili Bowl. We’re really excited for this week.”
Brady will turn around and make his first trip “Down Under” immediately following the Chili Bowl. “We leave on Sunday,” he says. “I’m really excited. I’ve never been to Australia. We’re going to be running three weekends in the midget. Gavin Ohlback is bringing us over to run his car, and I’d like to thank him.”
The competition will occur at three different venues. “We’re running six shows there,” says Brady. “We’ll be running two nights at Brisbane International Speedway in Queensland, two nights at Lismore Speedway in New South Wales and finish with two nights at Sydney Speedway in New South Wales.”

Associate Marketing Partner of the Week – Proglide Coatings
When it comes to metal to metal contact and reducing friction, Proglide Coatings has a solution. Not only can we maximize the potential out of every part we coat, we can drastically increase the life of the part. By reducing friction, heat is also reduced. When heat is reduced, distortion and molecular changes in the part itself slows dramatically, naturally prolonging the life of the part. With that said, viscosity of lubricants can be decreased resulting in more free movement and less drag. As heat is reduced, the potential for the breakdown of oil is reduced. This lets your oil and lubricants perform the job that they were designed to do. Proglide also has characteristics that aid in the process of retaining oil at metal to metal contact points through a property called adhesion. Proglide holds oil to the part ensuring proper lubrication. In tight tolerance applications Proglide can fill the void of lack of lubrication where failure often occurs. Our coating adds no measurable tolerance to the part once coated therefor allowing us to coat even the tightest parts like pistons, rings, main bearings, rod bearing, cams, cranks, drive systems, etc. Maximize your parts and protect your investments with Proglide Metal Coating Technologies. Once you do you'll never feel the same about friction again. Visit Proglide Coatings online at www.ProglideCoatings.com!
