North American Pro Stock Nationals Friday Night Kickoff!
Lee, NH- Lee USA Speedway kickoffs the season with the inaugural North American Pro Stock Nationals event and without an opening night of support division what kind of event would it be. 35 Pro Stock teams took part in a 2 hour practice session that saw Derek Griffith (12G) sitting atop the speedway charts with the 90 of Casey Call right behind him.
The NELCAR Bandoleros where in town with the 11RI of Nicholas Uhrig Jr taking the heat race win. Uhrig Jr. would start on the pole in the feature and would lead every lap except the one that matters as Brody Wakefield (04) would use a last lap pace to take the win! Uhrig Jr. was second with the 38 of Bryson Robidous in 3rd.
NELCAR Legends would have 2 heat races with Cole Robie (29) and Jacob Burns (13) the heat race winners the feature would see 22 cars take the green. Robie would lead every lap on his journey to victory lane. While 2nd place finisher PJ Evans (12) worked his way from his 6th place starting place taking over the 2nd spot on lap 22. Reagan Parent (7NY) started 3rd and finished 3rd but had to use a last lap pass to take the 3rd place finish.
The Senior Tour Auto Racers rolled into town with two divisions of cars Modified and Sportsman. Skip Swiantek (70) won the modified feature and Mark Parmentier (00) took the sportsman feature. For more information on the Senior Tour Auto Racers check them out on Facebook!
Making their first appearance at the 3/8th mile oval was the Crown Vic division and they didn’t disappoint. Ed Johnson in the #54 took the heat race win but it would be the #23 of Jacob Michaud that would take the win in the feature! While Jacob’s son Traver Michaud (28) was able to hold onto 2nd place with Tucker Haskell in the #35 rounding out the top 3.
Super streets would see the #42 of Robby Bodwell was able to double dip as he won the heat race and the feature. Donald Belisle in the #7 would finish 2nd and Patrick Tanguay in the #79 wrapped up the podium
