Cisney Posts Second Victory of Season at Lincoln Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – YORK HAVEN, Pa. (June 9, 2020) – Dylan Cisney became the first repeat feature winner at Lincoln Speedway this year after he garnered his second career triumph at the track on Saturday.
“It’s a big deal to get another one down there,” he said. “It was completely different than the first one. The first one we had some hard racing up front. This one was with a little luck and the handicapping playing out for us. The track conditions worked in our favor all night long, too. It was hard to pass and one lane around the bottom in the heats. That was perfect for us starting on the pole.”
Cisney won both a heat race and the main event from the pole position.
“They watered the top before the main event,” he said. “It was pretty racy for the first half of the race. A yellow came out on Lap 18. At that point I had started going through traffic and having a hard time getting by them. I figured there was some rubber on the bottom. Luckily that was when the caution came out. I knew I needed to move around. There was one or two corners where I dropped down to try it. There were lapped cars tight to the bottom so it was hard to get right where the rubber was. I knew I needed to be there, but it’s a tough move to make when you’re the leader.
“I found the rubber on the restart. There was a good bit of rubber down there. We took off on that restart and made it down to six laps to go when there was another yellow. I was starting to catch traffic again so that helped. It was clean sailing from there.”
Cisney capped his weekend with a visit to BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday. He placed fourth in a heat race and 14th in the main event.
“We started out good and were fastest in hot laps, but it went downhill from there,” he said. “We misjudged on the car. We couldn’t move forward in the heat race and had the same problem in the feature.”
Regardless of Sunday’s outcome the weekend was a success and it breeds confidence for Cisney.
“When you go to a track like Lincoln, where I don’t really feel comfortable in the car, it gives you a confidence boost in what your car can do and what you can do with it as a driver,” he said. “Then when we go to tracks like Port Royal, where I always feel comfortable no matter how good my car is handling, it’s added confidence.”
Cisney plans on racing this Friday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., and Saturday and Sunday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa.
