Bouche Bests 43 competitors to take home $1,500 at Luxemburg Speedway

(Luxemburg, WI)- Dave Bouche beat out 43 other participants in the IMCA Stockcar battle royal to take home the top prize of $1,500. Bouche earned the victory after tracking down and out dueling Troy Muench late.
Other winners on the evening included: Lance Arneson (IMCA Modifieds) Lucas Lamberies (IMCA Sportmods) Scott Boulanger (Street Stocks) and Matt Brehmer (Sport Compacts.)
Troy Muench started in the third position in the IMCA Stockcar Feature event and jumped into the top spot on the first lap. He quickly pulled away from the field with no one near.
Dave Bouche grabbed the second spot after working the field over. Bouche got to a position where he saw Muench but couldn’t advance any farther forward. At the halfway point of the 30 lap main event, Bouche started inching closing to Muench. Over the next 10 laps he would cut into the lead bring Shawn Havel and Brandon Czarapata with.
With five laps remaining, Bouche got underneath Muench and made his first bid for the lead. Muench fought off the first advance but couldn’t on the second. Over the next three laps the duo would exchange the lead with Czarapata and Havel right behind.
Muench would lead as the top four would take the white flag. Bouche threw it hard into the corner and his racer stuck to grab the lead down the back stretch. Bouche would outduel Muench down the front stretch to win the $1,500 big check. Czarapata edged Havel for third. Kyle Frederick finished in the fifth spot in the caution free race.
Lance Arneson and Tyler Wilson started right next to each other in the IMCA Modified Feature. For 20 straight laps they rarely left each other’s side. Arneson rode the bottom around the 1/3 mile with Wilson up on top. Arneson would lead the first five laps with Wilson grabbing the top spot on lap six.
The duo would exchange the lead numerous times over the duration of the event. Wilson would falter with five laps remaining and have to play a game of catch up to Arneson.
Wilson grabbed the lead with three laps remaining but Arneson altered his next lap and grabbed the lead for good when Wilson again popped the cushion. Arneson won his second straight feature. Wilson ran a great race to finish second. Troy Jerovetz bested the rest of the field to finish third. Jay Matthias beat Dave Zeitler for the fourth finishing position.
Ryan Lemieux took over the lead from Connor Iverson on lap two of the IMCA Sportmod Feature. Jacob Zellner used a restart on lap six to move around Lemieux and into the race lead. Zellner brought Craig Dorner with and the duo played a Sportmod game of cat and mouse. With them playing for the top spot, Lucas Lamberies, who had worked from his 15th starting spot, joined the race for the lead. Lucas Lamberies would not be denied on this night. Lamberies charged down low and grabbed the lead late. Lamberies outran Zellner to the checkered flag for the win. Craig Dorner turned in a career best third place finish. Troy DeGrave finished fourth after starting 12th. Randy Lemieux Jr finished fifth.
Frank Dorn lead the Street Stock crew around for the first few circuits before a buzz saw of cautions halted the race. Dorn spun on lap two and John Hill took over. Dan VanPay and Scott Boulanger took over the top two spots with VanPay up front and Boulanger trying the top. Boulanger had enough of the top and went down low. Boulanger would go in for the kill shot on lap 12. Boulanger took the coveted top spot and ran away on his way to the pay window in front of VanPay. Hill finished third. James Dahlstrom finished fourth after starting 16th. Justin Mahlberg was fifth.
Matt Brehmer had a clean sweep on the evening in the Sport Compacts. Brehmer held off a last lap charge from Calvin Stueck. Alvin Testroete, Hollie Welch and Tony Fletcher rounded out the top five.
